KIOSK has integrated the IBM Anyplace into several of our standard enclosures, providing an economical hardware solution for added transaction features and capability. In these examples, the IBM Anyplace is integrated as the “all-in-one” computing platform and supplemented with a host of complimentary transactional components.
Most commonly, the full stand-alone enclosure is needed for printing applications – either for receipts, laser printouts of transactions, or card printing solutions. Additional components such as keyboards, bill acceptors, biometrics, etc. are much more likely to be successful when presented in an enclosed and hardened public enclosure. Further, the stand-alone or pedestal enclosures afford deployers additional kiosk placement options when fixed counter space or wall mounted installations aren’t ideal for the location traffic pattern.
